Buying a horse or pony is an expensive business so many people look to loaning a horse instead as it removes the initial capital expense.
Although a horse on loan should be cared for as well as if it belonged to the loaner, it’s a less permanent arrangement than purchasing and it can be a fantastic first step towards having a horse of your own.
This type of livery is similar to DIY Stabled livery but the day to day care of the horse is shared by the owner and livery yard staff and the care routine will vary from yard to yard.
In addition to providing the horse owner with a stable in which to keep their horse and a field in which to turn their horse out during the day, full livery usually also includes bedding, hay and feed.
When selling a horse most people prefer to sell privately by advertising locally, online or through equestrian publications.
